Original Ideas…

It’s raining in Melbourne… I like the rain (sometimes)… it encourages coffee,  self-reflection, and copious amounts of reading  (Mostly Crossfit blogs at the moment) . Suffice to say when you subscribe to enough blogs within a category, you start to notice patterns in the content – this months super topic is ‘competition’.  Strangely enough, the articles also share a similar structure… although that could be an example of good blogging structure, as opposed to the ramblings that are found on Cheongy.com. Anyway… back to my point  (It only took two incredible drawn out sentances to get to…) – are there any original ideas? Or is everyone just reading the same shit, and regurgitating it, and if so – why am I not doing it?!?!?  - Does a quick ‘Google search’ on original ideas rant…

Fuck me Egypt is hot!

The tour has officially started, quite a large day yesterday visting the museum, sphynx, pyramids and papyrus gallery.

The museum brought back memories of when I was younger, and the books  I used to read of egyptian mythology – its amazing how much you forget!  The pyramids were an interesting experience – nearly got into a fight with a local camel guide… They tried to make us take a photo of them, when we refused they kept hounding us for ‘baksheesh’/tip.  It got quite aggressive… I understand why, as it is their livelyhood and they need to provide for their families…Our tour guide said that the tourism industry is currently at 20%…. Gutted.

Arrived at the Oasis hotel today – its nice to be away from the chaos of Cairo.

The Oasis hotel is close to the pyramids area, about 30 minutes away from the centre of the city. The madness of Cairo doesnt seam to end,  with block after block of dust, people and the unending tooting of horns – is this what all cities eventually become?  If you ever wondered where all cars eventually end up? They end up in Cairo…..

Bonnies Website

Just finished Bonnie’s Website

Just finished Bonnie’s website…

I used Elegant Themes template called Ephoto, the logos a bit naff, but spent most of my time getting my head around using WordPress…

Pretty good CMS system – the next challenge is to stick a shopping back end into it… and throw some lovely adwords marketing into it…

Fun Fun Fun….
